Zepbound® Vial (tirzepatide)

Zepbound® Vial (tirzepatide) is a prescription once-weekly injectable medication used for chronic weight management in adults with obesity, or who are overweight with at least one weight-related medical condition, when used alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity. The vial formulation contains the same active ingredient as the Zepbound pen and KwikPen but is administered using a syringe and needle as directed by a healthcare provider.

Typical Dosing Schedule

• Weeks 1–4: 2.5 mg once weekly (starting dose)
• Weeks 5–8: 5 mg once weekly
• If additional weight loss is needed, the dose may be increased in 2.5 mg increments every 4 weeks:
  • 7.5 mg once weekly
  • 10 mg once weekly
  • 12.5 mg once weekly
  • 15 mg once weekly (maximum recommended dose)

Important Safety Information

Zepbound® Vial should not be used by individuals with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) or Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2). It is not recommended during pregnancy. Use a new sterile syringe and needle for each injection, and administer the medication exactly as prescribed by your healthcare provider.
