Jardiance (empagliflozin) Tablets

Jardiance (empagliflozin) is a prescription medication used to help manage blood sugar levels in adults with type 2 diabetes. It belongs to a class of medicines called SGLT2 inhibitors and works by helping the kidneys remove excess glucose from the body through urine. Jardiance may also be used to reduce the risk of cardiovascular death in adults with type 2 diabetes and heart disease, and to help manage certain types of heart failure and chronic kidney disease.

Typical Dosing Schedule

• Starting dose: 10 mg once daily, taken in the morning with or without food.
• May be increased to 25 mg once daily if additional blood sugar control is needed and tolerated.
